(a)starting on 15 September 2023; and

(b)ending on the earlier of—

(i)the conclusion of the quadrennial election for the council to be held in 2024; or

(ii)30 April 2024.

Note—Subsection (1) gives effect to a recommendation made in writing by the Minister, on 13 September 2023 under section 122(2)(b) of the Act, that the Governor in Council suspend the nominated councillor for the period mentioned in the subsection. See also section 122(3) of the Act.(2)The suspension does not affect the nominated councillor’s entitlement to be paid remuneration as a councillor for the period.(3)This section expires on 1 May 2024.(4)In this section—nominated councillor means Ryan Bayldon-Lumsden.
