1Short titleThis regulation may be cited as the Major Events (Motor Racing Events) (Townsville 400) Amendment Regulation 2020.2CommencementThis regulation commences on 3 August 2020.3Regulation amendedThis regulation amends the Major Events (Motor Racing Events) Regulation 2015.4Replacement of pt 2 (Townsville 400)Part 2—omit, insert—Part 2Townsville 4003Townsville 400 is a major event—Act, s 12For section 12(1) of the Act, the V8 Supercars motor racing event known as the Townsville 400 to be held in 2020 is prescribed as a major event. 4Major event organiser for Townsville 400—Act, s 12For section 12(2)(a) of the Act, V8 Supercars Australia Pty Ltd ACN 077 053 484 is prescribed as the major event organiser for the Townsville 400.5Major event area for Townsville 400—Act, s 12For section 12(2)(b) of the Act, the major event area prescribed for the Townsville 400 is the area surrounding the Townsville Civic Theatre shown on the map in schedule 1 as the major event area.6Major event period for Townsville 400—Act, s 12For section 12(2)(c) of the Act, the following periods are prescribed as the major event period for the Townsville 400—

(a)from midday on 28 August 2020 to midday on 31 August 2020;

(b)from midday on 4 September 2020 to midday on 7 September 2020.

7Carrying out temporary works for Townsville 400—Act, s 16For section 16(2) of the Act, the following periods are prescribed—

(a)from the beginning of the day on 3 August 2020 to midday on 28 August 2020;

(b)from midday on 31 August 2020 to midday on 4 September 2020;

(c)from midday on 7 September 2020 to midnight on 18 September 2020.
