none act-1899-009 Criminal Code Act 1899 sl-2026-0050 Department of Justice 50 published 2026-05-22 website 1 reg Criminal Code (Government Agencies) Regulation 2026 2026 2026 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Criminal Code (Government Agencies) Regulation 2026. 2 Commencement This regulation commences on the day the Penalties and Sentences (Sexual Offences) and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2025, section 10 commences. 3 Government agencies For the Criminal Code, section 97A(3), definition government agency, paragraph (b), each of the following entities is prescribed to be a government agency—

(a) the Crime and Corruption Commission;

(b) Legal Aid Queensland established under the Legal Aid Queensland Act 1997;

(c) a local government;

(d) the Office of the Ombudsman established under the Ombudsman Act 2001;

(e) the Parole Board Queensland established under the Corrective Services Act 2006;

(f) the Queensland Audit Office established under the Auditor-General Act 2009;

(g) the Supreme Court Library Committee established under the Supreme Court Library Act 1968.
